About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced head of sales to join them in driving improved sales performance across their portfolio of educational products. Working closely with senior business and product teams, the head of sales will focus on expanding customer segments and business partnerships and driving performance through a senior and seasoned team of sales leaders. The role will own institutional and corporate growth across current and future opportunity segments spanning K-12, College and professional training (among others) and will have wide latitude in creating a strategic plan for boosting revenue streams. They are looking for a driven and inspiring sales leader, who can both motivate teams and push them towards continuous improvement. The right candidate will have a passion for the space, the ability to work well with others and a track record of hitting targets.
Key Responsibilities
· Partner with senior leadership to execute the current sales strategy and lead the development of new approaches to segments
· Connect with customers to ensure that their needs are being factored into the product development and enhancement cycles
· Manage the sales team to drive business growth across all customer segments, and work closely with the marketing team to support sales efforts
· Ensure performance against the broad strategic direction
· Help maximize reach and efficiency by adding new, scalable partners and pursuing cross-sell growth opportunities within segments
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
· Ten or more years in sales leadership, with a track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets
· Significant experience in managing large teams across multiple market segments
· A strong bias for quantitative-based management, with proven ability to performance manage teams
· Inspirational leadership style and hands-on approach
· Strong technical experience with Salesforce and other business productivity tools
· Experience selling in the professional or educational services market
