Our client is a leading provider of regulatory compliance and risk management solutions, helping FMCG companies streamline their labeling, packaging, and compliance processes. With a strong presence in global markets, they are expanding their North American operations and looking for a high-impact sales leader to drive new business growth.

About the Role

The Strategic Business Director – FMCG will lead business development and client engagement efforts across Canada and the USA, targeting FMCG brands and manufacturers. This role requires a strategic, self-motivated sales professional with experience in consultative enterprise sales and a strong understanding of compliance and regulatory challenges.

This is a remote role based in Canada, with a preference for candidates in Toronto, Montreal, or Ottawa. Occasional travel will be required for client meetings and industry events.

Responsibilities

· Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy to expand presence in the FMCG sector across Canada and the USA.

· Identify and engage decision-makers in packaging, regulatory, and compliance teams at FMCG companies.

· Consult with clients to understand their compliance and operational needs, positioning solutions as essential tools for accuracy and efficiency.

· Own the sales process from prospecting and lead generation to contract negotiation and closing deals.

· Work closely with cross-functional teams (marketing, product, and leadership) to refine messaging and sales strategies.

· Monitor industry trends and competitive activity to identify new opportunities for market expansion.

· Achieve and exceed revenue targets while maintaining a consultative approach to client relationships.

Qualifications

· 5+ years of B2B enterprise sales experience, preferably within regulatory software, risk management, compliance solutions, or packaging/labelling technology.

· Proven success in new business development and closing large-scale deals in the FMCG sector.

· Strong understanding of compliance, regulatory requirements, and quality control within FMCG or other highly regulated industries.

· Experience selling to FMCG companies, packaging teams, or compliance departments is a strong plus.

· Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills at the executive level.

· Located in Toronto, Montreal, or Ottawa with the ability to travel as needed.
