With a Houston distribution center and a vertically integrated manufacturing facility in New York, they are well-positioned for growth and expanding their team with a Sales Manager for Texas & the Midwest.
About the Role
The Sales Manager will be responsible for hunting and farming opportunities within the Texas and Midwest regions, focusing on electrical distributors and industrial accounts. This role will drive new business development (70%) while growing and maintaining existing relationships (30%). Working closely with an inside sales team, the Sales Manager will develop strategic sales plans, expand market share, and achieve revenue targets.
Responsibilities
· Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive revenue growth and expand market share in Texas and the Midwest.
· Hunt for new business opportunities (70%) while managing and growing existing accounts (30%).
· Call on electrical distributors and industrial customers, identifying needs and presenting solutions.
· Present, promote, and sell products/services, including conducting product demonstrations and presentations.
· Negotiate and close deals, ensuring long-term partnerships and customer satisfaction.
· Collaborate with an inside sales team to optimize sales strategy and customer engagement.
· Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activity, and market opportunities.
· Track and report on sales performance metrics, providing insights for improvement.
Qualifications
· 4+ years of proven sales experience, preferably in the wire and cable industry.
· Proven track record in business development and relationship management.
· Experience working with distributors is highly preferred.
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
· Self-motivated, proactive sales professional with a strong hunter mentality.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
· Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Located in Houston or Greater Texas (preferred).
· Ability to travel up to 30% (mix of local and overnight travel required).
