About the Role

As a Sales Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving technical sales, managing key accounts, and contributing to product development efforts. This position requires a strong technical background in materials science, chemical engineering, or a related field, along with experience in custom product design. You will work closely with sales, manufacturing, and product development teams to deliver tailored solutions to clients.

Responsibilities

· Manage key customer accounts, ensuring long-term success and identifying new growth opportunities.

· Develop and execute a strategic sales plan, aligning with revenue growth, market share, and profitability objectives.

· Provide technical expertise in custom product design, collaborating with clients to develop solutions tailored to their needs.

· Work cross-functionally with engineering, R&D, and production teams to optimize product development and ensure manufacturability.

· Analyze and track sales performance, providing forecasts, customer intelligence reports, and competitive analysis.

· Participate in sales planning, including tactical action plans and territory strategies.

· Act as a trusted technical consultant, advising customers on material properties, performance expectations, and application suitability.

· Prospect and qualify leads, ensuring a strong sales pipeline while also expanding target markets.

· Attend trade shows and industry events, representing the company and engaging with potential clients.

Qualifications

· Minimum 1 year of experience in Sales Engineering or Technical Sales.

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.

· Experience in custom product design.

· Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills related to product development and material properties.

· Ability to travel up to 10% for client meetings, trade shows, and business development opportunities.

· Must be located within 50 miles of the Barberton, OH working location.
