Overview

Our client, a leading manufacturer of EDM CNC machinery is seeking a Regional Sales Manager in the Midwest. An attractive compensation package including commission + benefits is offered.

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) contributes to the growth of the company by generating sales and overseeing the work of Territory Sales Managers and Sales Representatives in the Midwest. This individual will be responsible for new business development through prospecting, qualifying and selling EDM / HSM machinery and related consumable parts. Additionally, the RSM will be responsible for data analysis to determine sales potential and sales strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain sales strategies and territory planning to meet assigned sales revenue targets.
  • Oversee territory managers and sales representatives in the Midwest.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with customers in assigned territories through frequent customer visits and other communication, including participation in trade shows.
  • Increase account penetration at established and potential customers.
  • Manage client relationships through all phases of the sales cycle.
  • Attract and retain machine dealers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Business Administration or Sales and Marketing or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the machine tool industry with some EDM experience preferred.
  • 5 years of sales management with a high record of achievement.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Ability to self-motivate, multi-task and work independently or within a team.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and professional demeanor.
  • Minimum 60% overnight travel.
