Our client is a global leader in accreditation solutions, providing secure credentialing for major sporting, entertainment, and government events. Their solutions are trusted by top organizations, including NFL, NBA, NHL, MLS, and European football clubs, as well as government and diplomatic agencies for high-security events. With recent private equity investments, our client is in a high-growth phase, expanding its North American sales team to drive new business and increase market penetration. They are seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team and focus on hunting new business opportunities across the US and Canada. This is an individual contributor role with a remote work structure, preferably based in Durham, NC, and will involve significant travel for in-person meetings with key clients.
About the Role
Our client is seeking a Business Development Manager / Sales Executive to drive new business growth across North America. This is a hunter-focused, high-impact role for an entrepreneurial salesperson who thrives in a fast-paced, high-autonomy environment. As a key member of the US sales team, you will identify, engage, and close new business opportunities, working with directors of security, media representatives, venue managers, and C-suite decision-makers in sports, entertainment, and government sectors.
Responsibilities
· Identify and develop new business opportunities by building relationships with key decision-makers in sports, media, entertainment, and government sectors.
· Manage the entire sales process from prospecting to closing, ensuring a seamless experience for clients and achieving revenue targets.
· Conduct in-depth discovery calls and client meetings to understand business challenges and position our client’s solutions as a critical component of their security operations.
· Leverage a consultative, value-based sales approach to build long-term partnerships and establish credibility with high-profile organizations.
· Utilize HubSpot CRM and Sixth Sense to track pipeline activity, analyze sales performance, and refine prospecting strategies.
· Work closely with internal teams to align sales efforts with marketing initiatives and maximize lead generation opportunities.
· Travel regularly to meet clients in person, strengthen relationships, and drive face-to-face sales efforts.
Qualifications
· 3–5 years of enterprise sales and business development experience with a proven ability to generate new business and exceed sales targets.
· Strong track record of engaging high-level decision-makers and navigating complex sales processes with consultative selling techniques.
· Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and thrive in a high-autonomy environment.
· Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and build trust.
· Experience with sales technology tools like HubSpot CRM and a data-driven approach to optimizing outreach and pipeline management.
· Willingness to travel frequently for in-person client meetings and industry events.
