Our client offers specialized solutions in corrosion protection, waterproofing, abrasion resistance, and surface treatments for industries such as original equipment manufacturing, construction and building materials, industrial facilities, food and beverage production, and other essential infrastructure sectors.

About the Role

The Area Sales Manager is responsible for delivering profitable sales in their region and leading our client's quest in becoming the favored and preferred supplier of complex chemical, thermal and abrasion resistant solutions for steel and concrete structures, to their valued customers. You will accomplish this by guiding and supporting customers in selecting appropriate solutions to protect structures situated in harsh and challenging environments found in the chemical processing, pulp and paper, oil and gas and industrial manufacturing markets.

Key Responsibilities

· Deliver profitable sales in the region.

· Identify, engage, and close new construction and maintenance and repair sales opportunities within all focus markets the business has selected.

· Maintain and manage information within a CRM platform, on the customers, opportunities, and activities.

· Work with the North America Sales Manager, North America Business Development Manager and VP of Sales and Marketing to develop regional strategies and tactics.

· Promote a positive image and develop long-term, customer-centric relations with all customer stakeholders.

· Manage sales support activities in assigned region including, but not limited to, field technical support, credit and collection efforts, contract negotiations and inventory forecasting.

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

· Candidate must be located along the Gulf Coast (preference given to candidates In Houston, and east to Louisiana).

· Candidate must have 3+ years of relevant industry experience selling to industrial customers (Oil & Gas, Chemical Processing, Pulp and Paper, Water Treatment).

· Candidate must have familiarity with short and long deal cycles.

· Candidate must be comfortable travelling the region +/- 50% of the time for client facing purposes.
