About the Role
This newly created Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) position is a player/coach role responsible for leading revenue growth, managing sales strategy, and developing a high-performing team. The CRO will take a consultative approach to selling, engaging CFOs and finance executives to demonstrate the financial impact of unemployment tax reduction and related services. This is a high-visibility position that requires a strategic leader with experience navigating long sales cycles, complex buying processes, and high-level financial discussions.
Responsibilities
· Manage and mentor a team of sales reps while carrying an individual quota.
· Engage CFOs and financial decision-makers to drive new client acquisition.
· Build and execute a strategy for targeting companies with high unemployment tax burdens.
· Work closely with external marketing partners to align sales efforts with lead generation.
· Navigate long sales cycles, communicate cost-saving strategies, and differentiate from competitors’ fee-based models.
Qualifications
· 10+ years of experience selling services to finance departments (CFO-level sales required).
· 5+ years in a sales leadership role, with a track record of building and scaling sales teams.
· Proven ability to sell value-driven solutions, not transactional products.
· Experience working alongside marketing teams to optimize sales funnel performance.
· Strong financial acumen, able to engage in high-level discussions on tax savings and financial optimization.
· Located in Maryland.
· Comfortable in a fast-moving, high-accountability environment where leadership extends beyond sales execution.
