About the Hiring Company
Our client is a leading provider of ethical supply chain risk management and compliance software, helping companies mitigate modern slavery, human rights violations, and other ethical risks in their supply chains. As a growing startup, they are expanding into the Canadian market and are looking for a dynamic, entrepreneurial Director of Sales to lead the charge in building their presence and driving sales in the region.
About the Role
They seek a motivated and results-driven Director of Sales to join their team as the first hire in Canada. This individual contributor role is an exciting opportunity to build and execute the go-to-market strategy for Canadian operations. You will be responsible for driving new business, cultivating relationships with key decision-makers, and building out the sales process for the Canadian market. As the Director of Sales, you will have a key role in shaping the future growth of the company.
Responsibilities
· Identify, prospect, and close new sales opportunities within mid-market and enterprise accounts in Canada, driving net new business to meet or exceed revenue targets.
· Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in procurement, compliance, and risk management functions, with a focus on expanding our client base.
· Lead the go-to-market strategy for the Canadian market, including identifying high-value opportunities, creating sales strategies, and adapting the sales process to meet market needs.
· Consistently achieve and exceed annual revenue targets through effective sales strategies, lead generation, and closing techniques.
· Take ownership of all sales activities in Canada, working independently and managing your pipeline while collaborating with the global team for support.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· Sales professional with 5-10 years of experience selling sophisticated SaaS solutions to midmarket and enterprise accounts, working with key decision-makers.
· Experience selling risk management and compliance software, or selling to procurement departments is a plus.
· Experience working for a startup / Accustomed to wearing multiple hats and working in a self-starter, high-growth environment.
· Proven track record of success attaining $1MM+ revenue targets.
· True sales hunter driving net new business / Entrepreneurial, gritty, autonomous, tenacious, growth-oriented.
· Located in Toronto or Vancouver, and can travel to visit clients as required / Can travel to Australia as required.
